This is a great example of a timeless frame design that perfectly complements the artwork.
Our customer wanted to hang the small oil painting in their period home and asked us to design a simple, classic frame to elevate the piece.
We hand painted a wide moulding made from obeche wood in a subtle off-white colour to match some of the brushstrokes in the painting.
There was no need to glaze the canvas as an oil painting is very resilient and rarely needs the protection provided by the glass.
The end result is simple but stunning.
