This is a good example of how window mounts can be used to great effect to present a collection of images or objects.
Our customer had a set of Edwardian holiday photos from the seaside resort of Lyme Regis. Complete with the envelope they originally came in.
We laid them out and bonded them to the backing board before cutting a double aperture mount – one bevel window for the photos and another for the envelope.
To hand stain the bare wood frame, we specially mixed a shade of grey to complement the sepia tones of the photos. We added UV barrier and reduced reflection glass for clarity and to prevent these charming keepsakes from fading.
