We love helping people choose frames that enhance and protect their favourite art.
Our customers fell in love with this original painting by artist Ashleigh Anne during their holiday in Cornwall.
We decided not to pick any of the blue hues in the painting for the frame since the couple have many walls in similar colours.
Instead, we designed a frame with them that highlights the coastal theme of the artwork.
Approach
We used a bare wood, ash profile for making the frame and applied a white stain and lime wax finish. This creates a timeless, soft look.
We replaced the original mount with a conservation-grade mountboard that won’t yellow.
Finally, we used a specialist glass that minimises reflections and blocks 92% of damaging UV rays. This will prevent the vibrant colours from fading and keep the painting in pristine condition.
Result
The couple were delighted with their finished frame, and we’re sure the piece will bring back happy memories of time spent in Cornwall.
