Mark Hearld

Mark Hearld is a distinguished artist who creates joyful and vibrant collages inspired by nature.

He studied illustration at Glasgow College of Art and completed an MA in Natural History Illustration at the Royal College of Art in London.

His distinctive style is influenced by Picasso and artists from 1930s modernism such as Eric Ravilious, John Piper and Edward Bawden.

Collage is a process Mark uses to introduce abstraction to his work. This combined with his academic training and careful observation informs his creativity.
