Heidi Langridge’s bird paintings are vibrant and dramatic. She places each group of birds centre stage against a background of beautifully saturated colour.
Without moving into realism, her unique visual style captures the essence of her subjects and the joy of being in the present moment.
The artist doesn’t aim to depict the natural group behaviour of the birds but subverts it a little to reflect human dynamics. Foliage and habitat are suggested through complementary colours and billowing forms, allowing the birds to be the focus.
Heidi paints from her home studio on the South Downs. Speaking about her work she says:
“If there’s a heaven for birds, this could be it.”
We are delighted to offer limited edition Giclee prints signed by Heidi from an edition of just 45.
